Updated: Unable to Send Individual Plain-Text Messages (Fixed)

January 20, 2010

in Resolved

UPDATE, 1/20/10 11:49AM — We have deployed the fix to resolve this issue. It is recommended that impacted users clear their cache and cookies in their browser and try again. Thanks!

####

This morning, a few customers have reported they experienced difficulty sending individual (“one-off”) plain-text messages. We’re aware of the issue and are working to resolve it quickly.

The workaround is to send the message as HTML format and it will work.

It is important to point out this does not impact broadcasts, follow-up sequences or other system-generated emails.

We’ll let you know when this is fully resolved. :)

I am not finding this to be fixed. I tested on Firefox and also IE7, and I still get a "code error" on the page.

Jeremy,

Thanks for letting us know. Have you opened a ticket on this? We received confirmation from QA in addition to recent customers impacted by this issue that it was resolved. Perhaps it could be something else. Let me know.

Thanks,
Joe

I waited 10 minutes on hold before I checked here. In short, no single-text-based emails are able to be sent from me or my assistant's account. I am on 1.17.22.6.

Jeremy,

Thanks for confirming. I will re-publish the issue as new and track it. Sorry for the unusually long hold time. Looks like this just crept up recently. Are you able to send one-off individual HTML emails?

That seems to work. The precise text-specific issue is "error on page" according to IE7.
